Devanshi Khetarpal will be teaching two virtual poetry workshops in the summer. Both sessions will feature six guest writers-- three guest writers in each session-- who will be joining in for nearly hour-long conversations on the designated day.
The syllabus for the two workshop sessions will be different, but shall be focused around poetry in translation, the role of the writer, and the writing process.
All participants can choose to send Devanshi Khetarpal a writing sample of not more than 10 pages for editorial comments or critique that she will turn in either during the workshop session or within 48 hours after the last meeting of the session. All participants also get to have an hour-long one-on-one conference to discuss their sample, personal journey, projects and other concerns.
Each workshop is open to 10 participants of all ages and experience levels from across the world. Registrations will be accepted till seats are full. All classes shall be held over Zoom and will shall be restricted only to those registered and authenticated by the instructor. The syllabus for each week will be shared in a PDF document a week before the corresponding weekly meetings. This is a generative workshop. Participants are likely to have about 3 drafts at the end of each meeting to work on and carry forward. While the workshop itself is free of cost, donations of any amount to the instructor at the end of the workshop would be appreciated.
